協會源自於1987年時,有九家台灣本土連鎖店業者爲切磋連鎖店經營技術而組成「久如會」;1991年有鑒於台灣連鎖經營環境的逐漸成熟,數十家台灣連鎖店企業總部參與會員大會,正式登記成立「中華民國連鎖店協會」;由於兩岸互動交流頻繁,為確切代表台灣連鎖產業的組織地位,協會於民國89年5月24日向內政部申請更名,也正式通過名稱爲「台灣連鎖暨加盟協會」,英文簡稱為:TCFA。

成立至今,協會充分發揮非營利組織之精神,致力以服務會員,推動企業間相互交流與成長爲宗旨,秉持共同理念「同行不是冤家,異業可以爲師」,不分業種、業別,只要對連鎖經營型態與發展有志者,都能一同鑽研連鎖經營技術,共同打造理想經營環境,期許連鎖加盟産業蓬勃發展。

領導人的認同及支持是協會凝聚企業共識及團結合作最大的力量,在創會理事長翁肇喜及歷任理事長也是協會顧問:林泰生、徐重仁、周俊吉、李勝治、潘進丁、高志尚、羅榮岳等堅持誠信理念,維護優良傳統的原則下,歷屆理監事團隊都和諧團結為提昇台灣連鎖產業經營品質而持續努力,也希望號召更多國內外優質連鎖品牌加入這個大家庭。

2007年時,在理監事及會員共同努力及熱情捐助下,協會購置自用會所,擁有永久的辦公室,跨出新的里程碑,也成為台灣公協會組織的典範。同時為資產登記,協會全名也冠上社團法人,成為「社團法人台灣連鎖暨加盟協會」。

台灣連鎖暨加盟協會是台灣第一個成立,也是企業總部規模最大及從業人數最多的連鎖店組織,除本土自創的優質品牌外,國際知名品牌來台都會選擇加入TCFA,會員多以各連鎖加盟業種前三大至前五大品牌為主,現有的會員企業總部數超過300家,涵蓋70多個業種,店鋪3萬多家,60多萬從業人員,會員企業營業總額近兩兆元。大多數會員企業已國際化發展,日本、美加地區、東南亞、中國大陸、中東、歐洲及紐、澳洲等地,有不少品牌已設立相關據點。

In 1987, 9 chain store corporations in Taiwan founded the “Jui-Ru Association” in order to share their chain-store business techniques together. Due to the fact that the chain-store environment has become mature, in 1991, 54 chain store corporations called for the founding of the “Chain Store Association of the Republic of China.” Then on May 24, 2000, the association changed its name to “Taiwanese Chain Stores and Franchise Association” under the Ministry of the Interior.

Since its founding, the association has provided services to its members nonstop. With the aim to promote intercommunication and growth together, the foundation kept its ideal of “similar businesses don’t have to be opponents, different businesses can become teachers.” We do not separate business categories or types. As long as one is interested in the idea of chain-store businesses and its development, all are welcome to join the association to research and investigate business techniques, to towards an ideal environment for business circulation, and to push for an active development of circulative industry.

Our association is the first and the largest chain-store organization in Taiwan. Well-known brand names such as 7-ELEVEN, Family Mart, Wellcome, Starbucks, KFC, McDonalds, Mos, Nike and Carrefour are all its corporate members. It now consists of 300 member corporations, including 70 different business types, 30 thousand stores, 600 thousand employees, and annual product of two trillion NT dollars. One fourth of our member corporations provide the best assistance to those interested in becoming franchisees. And more than 50 of our member corporations have begun their international development, actively developing Southeast Asia and China as their future market. There are also others who have expanded to Japan, Australia, the U.S., and other European countries.

Committees

Member Fellowship Committee

Development of public relations, construction of communication channels with government organizations and inter-relationship and increased interaction between member corporations by holding dinners and golf tournaments.

Commercial Technology Committee

Upgrade the abilities of digitizing related business. Research the newest trend and provide relative information.

Information Statistics Committee

Construction of information platform for member corporations in order to push for the transparency of industry information. Investigation of service qualities in order to form the professionalism of the association and for the growth of the industry.

Educational Training Committee

Training of personnel of the chain-store and franchise business with the goal to increase service quality by holding contests for excellency in the work force.

Legal Committee

Assistance in reflecting to government organizations those out of date laws. Formation of positive organization and construction of communication with government organizations.

Push for the construction of a good franchise format with complete headquarter functions and holding of chain store visits for the information of the public.

Food Industry Committee

Push for cross-communication between businesses and observation of the internationalized new trend of eating out.

International Administrations Committee

Pushing for the international development of the association and building and making stronger of relationship with international organizations. International organizations include: JCA (Japan chain stores association), JFA (Japan franchise association), HKMA(Hong Kong retail management association), HKFA(Hong Kong franchise association), PRA (Philippine retail association), TRA (Thailand retail association), SRA (Singapore retail association), SIFA(Singapore franchise association), MRCA (Malaysia chain store association), CCFA(China Chain Store and Franchise Association)。
